I think this ended up being my most successful image from my Grand Canyon trip. This is during sunrise, at about 5 AM or so? I had to wake up at 3:30 AM I believe to drive all the way out here.
It may not be creative or super fresh-unique-different, but I still like it just cause of the tonal values of everything. The detail of the tree and the background of the canyon.
There was a wildfire going on from across the canyon, which caused some mad haze and a pretty clouded up sky.
Some people have complained about the exposure on the far right, but it doesn't seem to bother most....I didn't want to heavily process this image either. This is essentially an out of camera shot, save for a contrast tweak and an unsharp mask after resize. A rarity for me with digital, to actually have an image which I don't tonally adjust.
I hope people here enjoy this image as much as I do....

Probably won't get the recognition it deserves, as that seems to be the way things are going recently
The full-version is great. It's always a good feeling when shots work out after that kind of preparation. Keep up the good work
